Ashley Annette Baxter February 27, 1985 January 27, 2024
Our beloved daughter, sister, friend and extended family member passed away of natural causes Saturday, January 27th in the company of her family at Holy Cross Davis Hospital.
Ashley was a graduate of Layton High School. She loved her family and had a well-developed sense of humor. She was especially happy with her loved pets, which included everything you could imagine from snakes to hedgehogs. She won multiple blue ribbons from the county and state fairs with her chickens. But, her favorite pets were her cats that she spoiled through the years.
Ashley was an incredibly gifted and creative artist in any medium. Her works were even featured in the New York Times.
Ashley was a loyal friend and loved to give gifts to everyone she knew. She especially loved Christmas and passing out candy canes for over 25 years to her friends and neighbors.
Ashley also loved and celebrated nature. She particularly enjoyed visiting Hawaii and other locations. She always had a backpack full of nature guides and her set of scriptures. Ashley is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ashley is survived by her parents, Mark and Sandra Baxter; brothers, John and William; sister-in-law, Kiersti; and numerous other extended family.
A special thanks to her incredible staff, care providers, and doctors at Holy Cross Davis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at noon at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. A viewing will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday evening and Saturday prior to services from 11 – 11:45 a.m. Interment will be at Hyrum City Cemetery.
