Audrey Ann Burton Rowell, age 67 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, in a local hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 7, 1958, she was the daughter of Irene Causey Burton and the late Richard Burton. In addition to her father, Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Broughton Rowell, Jr, her brother, Jimmy Burton, and her grandson, Jake Thompson.

Audrey worked for many years at Higgins Hospital in Bremen in the housekeeping department. Loving the outdoors, she enjoyed camping and just being in nature. Going on cruises with her family was another activity she enjoyed. Audrey's passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Audrey truly loved taking care of children.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: John and Holly Burton of Temple, Mark and Katelyn Ford of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Jennifer (Aaron) Thompson of Waco and Michael Swanson of Buchanan; her grandchildren: Samantha Rowell, Jessica Krieger, A.J. Bentley, Austin Burton, Colton Ford, Carter Ford, Summer Ford, Mollie Ford, and Christopher Jackson; and her precious great-grandchildren: Noah Sears, Maddilynn Sears, and Chase Burton. She is also survived by her mother Irene Burton of Bremen; sisters Angela Dollar of Peachtree City and Joan Chandler of Buchanan; her brother, Eugene Burton of Temple; and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Brother Bennie Westmoreland officiating. Following the service, Audrey will be cremated.
