Ms. Aundria Jackson Chapman, age 74, a native and resident of Jackson, AL was born February 24, 1951 to the loving parentage of the late Mr. Jeremiah Jackson and the late Mrs. Jessie Mae Andrews Jackson. She departed this life September 29, 2025.

"Dria", as she was affectionately known was educated in the Clarke County Public School System and was a 1971 graduate of Jackson High School. Upon relocating to Detroit, MI, she continued her education at Shaw College.

She united with Saint Union Baptist Church at an early age. Her favorite hobby, from childhood to adulthood, was reading. She always had a serious passion for reading which attributed to her being knowledgeable on many subjects. "Dria" enjoyed reading the Holy Bible and working word search puzzles. She also loved to cook; her two specialties were French Vanilla Cake and fried chicken. One of her favorite past times and recreational interests was frequenting the casino.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Delilah Ann Jackson Mitchell and a brother, Edward James (Eatha Ree) Jackson, and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Jackson.

She will be loved and cherished forever in the hearts of her devoted family: two sons, Edward James "Jamie" (Cassandra Chaney) Chapman, II of Jackson, AL and Jeremy De'Lon (Timena Kristine) Chapman of Detroit, MI; three brothers, Eldridge (Katherine) Jackson, Sr.; John Earl Jackson, and Jerome (Felicia) Jackson, all of Jackson, AL; three sisters, Linda Carol Jackson (Andrew, Sr.) Thomas of Detroit, MI; Anna White of Jackson, AL; Beverlyn "Bell" Moore of New Orleans, LA; three grandchildren, Au'Mari Chapman, Kyle Chapman, and Jeremy Edward James Chapman; also cherishing her memories and loving, calm and sweet demeanor is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service, with Elder Eldridge Jackson, Jr., Officiating, will be observed by the immediate family. Interment in the Jackson Family Plot of Woodlawn Cemetery, Jackson, AL. Please respect the family's wishes that a repass will not be held.
