Barb Miller Durkacs, 69, of Bridgeville, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 31, 2025, in Kane Community Living Center, Scott Township. She was born April 15, 1956, a daughter of the late William H. and Ada Tinkey Miller. Barb was a 1975 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School. She had worked as a waitress for Hoss's Steakhouse in Canonsburg, Southpointe Golf Club and Buca di Beppo in Robinson Twp. Barb enjoyed playing the lottery and following the Steelers and Penguins. Spending time with her children and grandkids were her greatest joy. On August 20, 2004, she married David A. Smith who survives. Also surviving are four children, Joseph Durkacs (Beth) of Brentwood, Jennifer Spadaro (Michael) of Chartiers Twp., Jeremy Durkacs (Dawn) of Chartiers Twp. and Justin Durkacs (Danielle) of Houston; 13 grandchildren, Sophia, Braden, Jake, Sadie, Alexis, Addison, Maddox, Camden, Landyn and Banks Durkacs, Meranda and Dominic Spadaro and Lily Courtney; a great grandson, Jonathan Hitzges; a sister, Frances Huffman (Dave) of Avella; two brothers, William R. Miller (Denise) and James Miller (Diane) both of Washington; Sister's-in-law, Donna Lieb (Ken) of Chartiers Twp. and Nancy Smith of Louisville, KY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Deceased in addition to her parents are a brother-in-law, Glenn Smith and her mother and father-in-law, George and Mary Smith. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8, Wednesday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025. Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
