Carol L. "Cheech" Gump, 81, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 13, 2025, in the Greenery Center for Rehab and Nursing, with family at her side. She was born September 6, 1943, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary Elizabeth Lutes Durish. Carol was a 1961 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School. She was employed as an executive secretary for Hankison International in Canonsburg. Her enjoyments included bowling, crafting and following the Pittsburgh Pirates. Carol's love was the time she spent with family. She followed all of their activities, especially those of her granddaughters. On September 12, 1964, she married Alexander Gump who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Timothy Gump of Canonsburg, Todd Gump of Horsham and Troy Gump (Stacey) of Canonsburg, three granddaughters, Alexandra, Seanna and Tori Gump; a sister Darlene Congie; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents are three sisters, Marlene "Molly" Easingwood, Joyce Zareck and Patricia Durish. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 Sunday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 17, 2025. Interment in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
