Mark W. "Big Dog" Dunn, 75, of Washington, died Friday, May 23, 2025, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born March 14, 1950, in New Eagle, a son of the late James C. and Shirley Hamilton Dunn. Mark was a 1968 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and worked as a lineman for West Penn Power for many years. Mr. Dunn was a member of the National Rifle Association, Moose Club in Florida, and the Elks in Washington and Florida. He enjoyed hunting, shooting guns, farm life and riding side by sides. Mark and his wife of 19 years, Carol Iams Beil-Dunn enjoyed spending winters in Lake Placid, Florida. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, four stepchildren, two brothers, William Dunn (Sallie) of Eighty Four and James Dunn (Darlene) of Washington; a sister, Kathleen Sue Hilderbrand (Harry) of Washington; and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 Wednesday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 12:45 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2025. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
