Barbara J. Davitt, 87, of Berkeley Heights, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025 at home with her family by her side.
Born on January 4, 1938 in Kingston, PA to Anthony and Lucy Woicekowski, Barbara had been a resident of Berkeley Heights since 1967 and worked as a nurse at Overlook Hospital and the Summit Medical Group. Barbara loved to walk and could be seen walking all over town. She also loved to read, play the piano, and bake. She loved animals and will always be remembered for her gentle spirit and radiant smile.
Barbara is survived by her cherished and devoted husband of 66 years, George Davitt; their four children, Bobbi Davitt, Michael Davitt (and daughter-in-law Bonita), Thomas Davitt (and daughter-in-law Grace) and Kristen Venezia (and son-in-law Joseph). She was the beloved grandmother of Akilah and Ryan Davitt, Amanda Venezia, and Leah and Anna Davitt.
A private funeral service will be held at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial in Berkeley Heights, NJ and entombment will take place at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, NJ.
