Mrs. Barbara S. Jubert, 73 of State Route 22, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on February 14, 1950, the daughter of the late Dennis and Evelyn (Matott) Yelle.
Barbara was a homemaker and babysat for many of her nieces and nephews over the years. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo and gaming on her iPad. She was an avid N.Y. Giants, N.Y. Yankees and Montreal Canadiens fan and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses; Angela and Todd Hosler of Chazy, Lisa and Chris Simpson of Beekmantown, Kimberley and Derrick Jefferson of Champlain, her sibling; Joseph Yelle (Carol) of Beekmantown, her grandchildren; Brenden and Macy Hosler, Morgan and Kailey Simpson, several nieces and nephews, sisters in law Carolyn Turner, Janet Stokes, brothers in law; Leland Jubert, Gerald Gonyo and Raymond Duprey and her canine companion "Daisy" and her cats "Penny", "Kitty" and "Kitty Kat".
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Roland A. Jubert in 2016. Her parents and sisters Martha (Frank) Bushey, Pricilla (Hillard) Dragoon, Viola (Ronald) Hazen, Carolyn (Roger) Defayette, Elene (Gerald) Miller, Shirley Gonyo, Linda Duprey and brother Clifford Yelle, and brother in laws, Norman Jubert and Mason Stokes also passed away earlier.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service starting at 7:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Interment will be in St. Louis de France Cemetery in Sciota on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Memorial donations may be offered to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or the Elmore S.P.C.A.
