Barbara Ann Palleschi

Barbara Palleschi, age 92, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on April 7, 1933 in Peck, Michigan to August and Marie Rickert. She was united in marriage to Marcus Palleschi on January 10, 1953. He preceded Barbara in death in December, 2017. She spent many years dividing her time with summers in Lexington, Michigan and winters in Cape Coral, Florida. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Her greatest joy was hosting family gatherings and visiting with family and friends. Her many hobbies included travel, reading, and playing cards.
Barbara was a devout Catholic. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Cape Coral, FL and St. Denis Catholic Church-Ave Maria Parish, Lexington, MI. Barbara worked as the accountant at her husband's auto dealership. After retiring to Florida, she worked as a cosmetician. Barbara had a strong work ethic and took pride in her work.
She is survived by four daughters, Marylou (Terry) Schneider, Debra (Dan) Kivel, Charlene (Dan) Wolfe, and Jane Gunter. Six grandchildren, Jason Yost, Jacquelyn (Ben McMillan) Schneider, Lauren (Tim) Willison, Melissa (Mike) Marino, Cameron Gunter, and Kelly Gunter. Five great-grandchildren, Claire, Levi, and Everett Willison; Giovanni and Carmine Marino; sister, Peggy Shaffer.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Palleschi; infant son Marcus Palleschi, Jr.; parents, August and Marie Rickert; sisters, Marianne Badgerow and Lola Peplinski; brothers, Wilfred Rickert and August Rickert, Jr.; son-in-law, Jim Gunter.
Visitation will be held at Fuller Metz Funeral Home in Cape Coral, FL on Monday, April 14th from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The funeral will be held on April 15th at 10:45 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral, FL. Interment will be at St. Denis Cemetery, Lexington, MI.
