Barbara was born in Mineola, NY, on Aug. 29, 1934, to Mae and Claude Conklin. A proud graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, she was devoted to caring for others, whether they were family members, friends, or patients.
Barbara is survived by her children, Kevin (Robin), Patti (James Corbett) and Tim (Kelly St. George); her grandchildren, Brian (Kristen), Shannon, Kerry Crovello (Nick), Jake Corbett, Mia Corbett, Keelin (Ryan Bratton), and Teagan; and her great-grandchildren, Rosalia, Henry, Nolan, and Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony, and her brothers, Stephen and Richard Conklin.
Family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, Nov. 4 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 45 Church St., Ronkonkoma, NY. Burial will follow at St. John of God Cemetery in Central Islip, NY.
