Barry K. Orcutt, 82, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 9, 1941, in Mason City, IA, the son of Bernard and Violet (Tompkins) Orcutt. Barry was a 1959 Clear Lake High School graduate. He married Barbara Bryden-Kriel on August 10, 1974 in Rockton, IL.
Barry was formerly employed by Gardner Machine for 21 years, Herman Small Engine, and Bruell Harley Davidson. He later was employed by the Beloit School System for maintenance until his retirement. Barry was an avid motorcyclist and car enthusiast, he specifically liked street rods. He and Barb enjoyed traveling, vacationing in Colorado, attending car shows, and going on cruises. Barry loved being in the outdoors, photography, nature, bird watching, feeding the wildlife, and planting trees in his yard. He cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Barbara Orcutt; children, Torie (Ron) Kollasch of Clinton, WI, Brandon Orcutt of Beloit, WI, Brenda Figah of CO, and Brian (Angie) Orcutt of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Nathan (Bobbie) Erickson, James (Mikaela) Kollasch, Reece Halley, Serena Figah, Luke Figah, Haley Orcutt, and Bryson Orcutt; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Scarlett Kollasch; sister, Bonnie J. Betts; nieces and nephews; in-laws; many other relatives and friends.
Barry was predeceased by his parents and daughter, Tamie Halley.
A Private Family Service for Barry will be held at a later date.
Memorials in his name may be made to St. Labre Indian School, 112 St. Labre Way Campus Dr., Ashland, MT 59003 or to the Arbor Day Foundation, 211 N 12th St, Lincoln, NE 68508.
