Beatrice "Joy" Haynes was welcomed into the peaceful embrace of her Heavenly Father's loving arms on Monday, November 28, 2022. Joy was born to Oscar and Olive (Schmidt) Hagner September 25, 1947. She graduated from Slinger High School in 1965. After high school she married and raised two sons while working periodically as a CNA.
Joy had always had an immense love and connection with God. Once her youngest son graduated high school, she decided to start a new chapter in her life. She moved to and attended Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. While attending college she met, fell in love with and married Rick Haynes on October 1st, 1993. Upon graduating in 1994, Joy and Rick, moved to China and began life as missionaries. She had many rewarding experiences while in China. One of her many ventures was the start up and running of an orphanage with at least 14 children.
After sharing their love of God for 16 years in China, Joy and her husband moved to pastor churches in both Canada and Texas. In 2012 their twin granddaughters were born and they decided it was time to move back to Wisconsin and be with family and friends. Joy was quoted saying "I just want to spend the rest of my days praising the Lord and loving on my grandchildren."
Those Joy leaves behind to cherish her loving memory are; son, Ryan (Missy) Koplin; daughter-in-law: Christine Koplin; brothers: Leo (Diane) Hagner, Ralph (Laura) Hagner; sisters: Vi Braatz, Mary (Dan) Shepard, Marie Papez, Nancy Boegel; granddaughters: Katie, Grace and Olivia; grandsons: Tyler (Jayden) Koplin, and Kyle (Leah) Maas. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends she loved dearly and unconditionally. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Sameer Tolay, Kelly Hagner NP, and the entire wonderful staff at the Agnesian Cancer Center and to Dr. Daniel Johnson and his staff at Agnesian Clinic North Fond du Lac. Thank you for all your compassion and care you showed to Joy. They also would like to thank the City of Fond du Lac Fire / Rescue and Police department for your professionalism at a difficult time.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept my faith: Therefore there is laid up for me in Heaven a crown of righteousness which I shall receive from the Lord when I pass from this life and enter into the glorious Heavens. When I leave this earth and you think of me; think of me walking hand in hand with our Lord Jesus Christ. I want to leave a legacy of love and faith; character and true peace." (Joy Haynes, 11/13/18)
