Survived by his son, Anthony (Jodi Turnbough) Holland; grandchildren, Michael (Alicia) Holland, Jennifer Holland, and Joshua Manion; great grandchildren, Aubrey and Maddox Holland and son-in-law, Bobby Manion.
Preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Ethel (nee Wildman) Holland; daughter Rebecca Manion, and his parents, Gaton Holland, and Marine (nee Winkler) (Phil) Blair.
Benny was born and raised in Veedersburg, IN, where he graduated high school in 1953. After graduating with an Engineering Degree from Purdue University, he moved his family to Channahon in the mid 1950's to work for Caterpillar Tractor Company. He retired in 1992. Benny had a passion for photography, and he operated Holland's Studio for over 30 years, taking many wedding, portrait, and sports team photos. Benny was an avid bowling league team sponsor for several years. He enjoyed working on his antique vehicles which he proudly displayed in early annual Channahon Festival Parades. Benny was a member of the Moose of Joliet for several years. He enjoyed talking to friends and would talk for hours with anyone that would listen.
Funeral services for Benny will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, 12:00 pm at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of services. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
