Beth A. "Elizabeth" Kozlicak, 79, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Beaumont Rehabilitation in Westborough.
Beth was born in Worcester, daughter of the late John G.F. Kozlicak and Elizabeth A. (O'Toole) Kozlicak. She was raised in Worcester as well, and attended St. Stephen's Grammar School, prior to moving to Maryland. Beth then graduated from St. Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, MD, then attended St. Vincent's School of Nursing, University of Maryland, and the Nurse Practitioner Program run by Mass General and Harvard Medical School. She got her Master's in Nursing and became the first certified Nurse Practitioner in Worcester County.
Beth had an extensive and successful career in nursing, and worked for Worcester VNA, Fallon Clinic, St. Vincent Hospital, and UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she worked alongside Dr. Stuart Bentkover. After many successful years of nursing, she retired.
In her free time, Beth enjoyed reading, knitting, and rooting for New England sports – she was an avid sports fan.
She was a faithful communicant of St. Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury, where she made her home.
Beth leaves her loving cousins, Judith Ryan, Dorothy Salmon, Patricia Quinn, Kathleen Rivenburg, Margaret O'Toole, Sharon Plichta, James O'Toole, and John Burkhardt. She was predeceased by her cousins, John McLaughlin, Jr., Maureen DeRevere, Louis Burkhardt, Jr., Anne Richard, and Edward O'Toole, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to St. Elizabeth Seton High School (www.setonhs.org).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Beth's family from 10 – 11 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025 at St. Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury, with her funeral Mass celebrated at 11 AM. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. The Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
