Betty Jean Jackson

Betty J. Jackson, 77, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 20, 1947, in Randolph County, Alabama, the daughter of the late James Jefferson "Jeff" Fowler and Alpha Cornelia Crocket Fowler.
Betty was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and an exceptional grandmother. Her number one joy in life was keeping her grandboys. She enjoyed reading and collecting duck and angel figurines. Betty loved visiting the beach and mountains. Betty was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church and attended Harmony Baptist Church when she was physically able. Betty retired from Sewell Manufacturing.
In addition to her parents, Betty was welcomed into Heaven by her loving husband, Jesse Jackson; sisters, Pearl Roberts Duke and Myrtle Fowler Stewart; and brothers, Aurther Roberts, Bert Fowler, Arvel Fowler, Lloyd Fowler, Dallas Fowler, and Virgil Fowler.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters & sons-in-law, Trina & Doug Browning and Tammy & Tommy Morrison; grandsons, Jeremy Browning, Alex Morrison, and Ethan Morrison; sister, Helen Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Mrs. Betty's life on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronnie Nations and Rev. Anthony Puckett officiating. Interment will follow in the Carrollton City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Steve Harper, Brad Slaton, Larry Brown, Dave Langley, Dustin Cook, and Scott Jackson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
