Betty Pruitt

Betty Pruitt passed away at her residence in Canton, GA, on June 28, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on November 8, 1943, in Griffin, GA, Betty's vibrant spirit and warm heart touched the lives of many throughout life.
Betty loved to travel, her suitcases were always packed, and she seized every opportunity to go. Above all, Betty's greatest joy came from the cherished moments she spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For Betty, family was the cornerstone of her life.
Known for her sassy and stubborn streak, Betty was a formidable presence who faced life's challenges with a remarkable blend of tenacity and grace. She was a master at speaking her mind, yet she did so with such charm that you couldn't help but admire her for it.
Betty was a great mother. Her life was one of impactful simplicity; she had the rare ability to find joy in the everyday and share that joy generously. She lived fully, loved deeply, and leaves behind a trail of smiles and cherished memories.
She is survived by her children, Bob Pruitt (Rhonda), Angie Morgan (Dwayne) and Mike Pruitt (Kelly); grandchildren, Zack Morgan (Brittany), Chris Pruitt (Sarah), Carissa Pruitt, Tyler Morgan (Caitlin), Dillon Morgan (Hannah) and Tristen Pruitt; great-grandchildren, Rhett, Raelynn, Millie, Sutton, Hadley, Haisley and future baby Nixon; brother, David Lewis (Jenny); father of the children, Bobby Pruitt (Connie); as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clay Gunter officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 1st from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
