Betty Twilley Williams, age 84, of Theodore, AL passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Randolph M Williams Jr. (Buddy).

She is survived by her attentive and caring son Randolph M. "Randy" Williams III (Misty). Her loving grandchildren are Courtney Williams, Grace Williams, Henry Groh (Alyssa) and Hunter Groh.

Betty was born September 13,1939, to Alonzo and Grace Mae Twilley, in the small town of Arlington, Alabama. She spent her childhood years in the Alabama countryside with her parents and nine siblings.

Betty retired from South Central Bell after 38 years of dedicated service to assist in raising her two granddaughters. She was a member of the Communication Workers of America and The Telephone Pioneers of America where she participated in many community-based activities.

Betty's wittiness and outgoing personality was contagious. She had an ability to find happiness in the simple things in life. Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed by those whose life she touched. She was also an avid sports fan and stayed true to her roots by cheering on the University of Alabama football program.

Her loved ones would like to acknowledge their hospice family. Maggie Bowling Dickinson, R.N., and Nancy Johnston, C.N.A., who provided outstanding care, service, love, and support over this past year.

Funeral services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Saturday 11/18/2023. Visitation will be from 10am-11am and the service starting at 11am with the burial occurring directly after.
