Bill Adams, age 86, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. Born Monday, August 12, 1935, in the Billows Community of Laurel County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Henry Edd Adams and the late Mary Margaret Adams Cromer. Bill was the widower of the late Joyce M. Pell Adams, whom he married Friday, September 23, 1955, and preceded him in death Sunday, September 16, 2018. Bill was a retired baker. Bill enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and was of the Holiness faith.
Bill leaves behind two sons, Billie Adams (Tina) of Douglasville, Georgia, and Darrell Adams (Janet Gilpin) of Waynesburg; two daughters, Sandra Stone (Robert) of Beech Grove, Indiana, and Brenda Taylor-Lockaby (Robert) of Corbin, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Adams (Sandy) of Richmond, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Adams; and four sisters, Wilma Whitaker, Dorothy Wells, Edith Cox, and Jean Gabbard.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.
The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, at the funeral home. Bro. Jason Coulter will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery.
