Graveside services for Billy Albritton, 92, will be held at 10 AM Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Farmerville, Louisiana. Pastor John Dobbs will be officiating.
Billy was born on January 4, 1933 in Farmerville Louisiana. He passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025 in Monroe. After graduating from high school Billy served his country by joining the United States Army for two years. After receiving an honorable discharge, Billy attended Louisiana Tech, where he graduated with an electrical engineering degree. He was soon recruited to be a specialist on the B-52 bomber electrical system based at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Billy spent his entire adult career as the go to electrical engineer for the B-52 bomber. He was flown throughout the world to troubleshoot. The many stories about his worldwide adventures are iconic. During this time he received numerous awards, including the highly coveted Nuclear Safety Award. Known as the "B-52 man", Billy retired after 34 years of dedicated service. He soon moved back to his hometown area of Monroe, Louisiana with his wife Faye. He was a long-standing member of Forsythe Church of Christ.
Billy's greatest accomplishments and source of pride was as a loving husband to Faye and father to his daughters, Pam and Linda. He was married to his wife Faye more than 60 years before she passed in 2021. His favorite title was that of grandfather – – to his two grandchildren, Brennan and Huxley (Ren) Bunn.
Billy was proceeded in death by his wife, Faye Nolan Albritton; daughter, Pam Albritton; parents, Boyd and Grace Deville Albritton; and brothers, Johnny and Don Albritton. Billy is survived by his loving daughter Linda Faye Albritton Bunn and her husband Benjamin; grandchildren, Brennan Colvin Bunn and Huxley (Ren) Bunn; sister, Boyce Ann Garrison, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
