Bobbie Simmons Hanemann passed away July 19, 2023, at the age of 86. She was a resident of Folsom, LA. Bobbie is preceeded in death by her parents John R. Simmons Sr. and Marie Clay Simmons, she is also proceeded in death by her late husband Paul H. Hanemann, and her son Gary Hanemann.
Bobbie is survived by her children Chris Hanemann (Lynnell), Karen Keating (Rodney), Paula Dufrene (Mark), brother John Simmons Jr. (Beverly), sister Mary Doyle (Alvin), her grand-children Amanda Garner, Lauren Barrosse (Randy), Tyler Keating (Ashley), Ashley Thomas (David), Samantha Gilbert (James), Caitlin Jensen (Jack), her great-grandchildren Hoss Garner, Baylee Barrosse, Brantley Barrosse, Riggins Keating, Abigail Thomas, Lorna Thomas, Ian Thomas, Edmund Thomas, Obed Gilbert, Judah Gilbert, and Isaac Gilbert.
Bobbie graduated from Warren Easton in 1954. She was a faithful member of New Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed bird watching, perch fishing, and camping with her family. Bobbie played volleyball at Lakeshore playground and the Y.M.C.A. She spent many years laughing and cutting up with the Mag 7, and birthday lunches with friends from church. She enjoyed many family vacations at the beach and in the mountains. She always had a song to sing for any word that was said. She will be truly missed by her friends and family.
