Bobbie Nugent Parnell, 84, of Vancleave, MS passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024. Bobbie was born January 1, 1940 to Stanley and Josephine Fountain.
Bobbie was a native and lifelong resident of Vancleave. She was a member of LaRue Baptist Church and was cofounder of Parnell Construction. Bobbie was an incredible woman with a head strong personality. She loved sitting in her rocking chair on the carport. She was a homemaker and loving wife for 60 years, and she was a mother, grandma, and great grandma otherwise known as "Maw" to so many. She was also a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Bobbie loved all her kids and grandchildren fiercely. She will be forever missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Judson Boe Parnell; daughter, Bobbie Jelanie Davis; and son, Edward “Dean” Parnell.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Davis; son, Tony (Martha) Parnell; grandchildren, Daphne (Mike) Willis, Brandon (Julie) Parnell; Travis (Ashley) Davis, Katie (Brent) Dees, Michael (Jesse) Parnell, Dyke (Priscilla) Parnell, Megan (Steven) Myers, Aaron (Jenna) Parnell, and Noah (Madelynn) Parnell; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Vancleave #1 Cemetery.
