Bobby Ray Gilbreath

Bobby Ray Gilbreath entered his Heavenly home on August 21, 2025 at the age of 90. He was born June 19, 1935, in Fittstown, Oklahoma to Roy and Mabel Gilbreath (Layhay).

Bobby grew up in Boswell, OK and worked as a machine operator in road construction. He was married to Doris Jean Gilbreath, and they were blessed with many wonderful years together prior to Doris' passing in 2013. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and greatly enjoyed spending time at the lake. Above all, Bobby adored his family. They were the light of his life. He loved to spoil his grandchildren and truly was the best grandpa. In addition, he possessed a keen sense of humor that filled any room with laughter. Bobby will be missed dearly, but his legacy will continue through all the hearts he touched.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Roy and Mabel Gilbreath; his sons, Bob Wayne Gilbreath and Tommy Ray Gilbreath; his wife, Doris Jean Gilbreath; sisters, Elizabeth Harp and Betty Jo Starbuck; brothers, Ed Gilbreath, Tommy Gilbreath, Jimmy Gilbreath, and Charles Gilbreath; and great-great-grandchild, Carlos Juan Gomez.

Those left to continue his legacy include his sons, Ronny Gilbreath and Ricky Gilbreath; daughters, Lisa Jennings and Lori Ketcherside and Allen; Brother, Randy Gilbreath; the mother of his children and lifelong friend, Nancy Gilbreath; grandchildren, Amy Lowe and Kendall, Jamie Hernandez and Federico, Paris Gilbreath, Riley Murphy, Courtney Jennings, Amanda Schein and Aaron, Chasidy Gilbreath Rubio and Jose, Tamara Lowe, Wesley Gilbreath, Bella Gilbreath, Keiley Gilbreath, Brooklyn Gilbreath, and Wyatt Gilbreath; great-grandchildren, David Elliott, Carley Bruner, Savannah Vega and Antonio, Dakota Ketcherside, Haley Ferrell and Donnie, Rowan Rubio, Kasyn Schein, Kopelyn Schein, AnnaBella Lowe, and Elyana Lowe; and great-great grandchildren, Ryver Vega and Raiden Vega.

Visitation for Bobby is 4:00pm-8:00pm, Monday, August 25, 2025, at Resthaven, 500 S.W. 104th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73139. His Celebration of Life service is 10:00am, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the Chapel at Resthaven. Interment will follow at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery.
