Bobby Watts Obituary
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Alvord with burial at Jonestown Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Louis Horton & Michael Frese will officiate. Pallbearers include Steven Oates, Jaxson Oates, Connor Watts, Dale Watts, Dillon Cage, Chuck Oates, and Coleman Cage.
Bobby was born June 21st, 1942 to Virgil Odell and Mildred Irene (Claborn) Watts in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage November 16th, 1968 to Lura Estelle Chancelor in Alvord, Texas. Bobby owned and operated Watts Excavation for many years. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. Bobby was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to many who will dearly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Mildred Watts, and his brother Mike Watts.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Estelle Watts of Decatur; his daughter, Lura Oates and husband Chuck of Decatur; his son, Dale Watts and wife Celissa of Alvord; 4 grandchildren, Steven, Lacey, Connor, and Natalie; 4 great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Jayden, Coleman, and Tinley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and a host of friends.

We will always remember the best times we had with Bobby and Estelle at the ECAT business board meeting as we will cherish those thought and memoires forever. Bobby was one of those rare conservation contractor professionals who always strived to give the best performance to a client and will be missed very much by all. We will also miss his love for antique tractors and wish his family will continue to carry out his wishes. May God Bless the Watts Family!
