Boris Hernandez Sr.

Boris Hernandez Sr., a dedicated carpenter in the construction industry, passed away on November 30, 2023 in Newport News, Virginia at the age of 59. Boris was born on June 20, 1964, in El Salvador, and he took immense pride in his work, loving every moment of it.
Aside from his professional accomplishments, Boris had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He enjoyed watching sports and collecting sports gear, always eager to stay up-to-date with the latest trends. Spending quality time with his family, watching movies and shows, and going out to eat were activities that he cherished. Boris also found great pleasure in being on TikTok and keeping up with the new and exciting trends that emerged on the platform. He was a lover of all things music including live music shows.
Family-oriented and full of love and positivity, Boris was known for his unwavering support and care for his loved ones. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and had an infectious spirit that spread joy wherever he went. Boris believed in putting good out into the world and made it a point to share his positivity and love with those around him.
Boris is survived by his beloved wife, Karla Caballero, their son Boris Hernandez Jr., and their daughters Kathy Sanchez and Paola Sanchez. He is also survived by his mother, Maria Luisa, and his brother Milton Lopez. Boris was preceded in death by his father, Salvador Ortiz.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 4pm, with a funeral service will be held directly following at 6pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes-Denbigh Chapel, located at 12893 Jefferson Ave, Newport News VA.
Boris Hernandez Sr. will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of spreading positivity and love will continue to inspire others to make the world a better place.
