It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brandon Tyler McClellan, who was born on November 28, 2002, and passed away on December 8, 2024. He resided in Harker Heights, Texas, but was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Brandon was the beloved son of Jeannette McClellan Bushell and stepfather Roger Bushell, and his father Brian McClellan and the husband of Sydney McClellan, whom he married in 2022. Although they did not have any children, their love for each other was evident to all who knew them. He is survived by his wife, his parents, his older sister Christia L. McClellan Dunbar, his brother-in-law Elijah Z. Dunbar, and one nephew Dawson C. Dunbar. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Lynda Urguelles, and maternal aunts, Blair Urguelles, Fredilynn Lansangan, her husband Francis Lansangan, and their son Nicholas Lansangan.
Brandon attended Kempsville High School and graduated in 2021. He went on to serve in the Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant. His dedication to his country and his fellow soldiers was unwavering, and he will be remembered for his bravery and commitment. He loved video games, football, running, going to the gym, exploring new foods, and so much more. Brandon was also an animal lover. Together they have three dogs: Charlie, Bear, and Kobe. Brandon will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
