Brandon Lee Smith, age 38 of Barbourville, departed this life on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at his home. He was born on March 12, 1987, the son of Donald Smith and Carrie (Owens) Smith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Carrie Smith, a sister, Lisa Marie Owens, a brother, Dennis Owens and a beloved nephew, Brad Rose.

Left behind to mourn his passing, his sisters, Kathy Owens and Crystal Guinn nephews, Brian Rice and Travis Owens, nieces, Summer Swafford and Kayla Owens, great-nieces and nephews, Lucas Gray, Jayden Gray , Kayden Gray and Bailey Grace a sister-in-law, Cathy Owens and his special weekend babysitter, Lovella Donaldson. He also leaves behind many cousins and family members that adored him.

A graveside service for Brandon will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025  at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Lawson-Owens Cemetery beside his father. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Family and friends will meet at the cemetery prior to the service.
