Brenda Sue Curry, age 77 of Elkin, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at her residence in Thurmond.
Ms. Curry was born on July 23, 1948, in Surry County to Gurtha and Wessie Lyons Curry.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Curry, a brother-in-law, Rennie Turley, and two sisters-in-law, Judy Curry and Vickie Curry.
Survivors include two brothers, Butch Curry and wife Bonnie of Elkin, Donald Curry and wife Anne of Thurmond, two sisters, Kattie Turley of Traphill and Henriette Curry of Thurmond, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
We will forever miss the way her face would ignite with joy when we walked through the door and the sparkle in her eyes that spoke of a happy, gentle soul. She was our greatest teacher in the art of unconditional love.
All funeral services are private.
