Brent Wade Brafford

Brent Wade Brafford, age 29, of Buckhannon, died Saturday, October 4, 2025. He was born June 28, 1996, in Cumberland, MD., a son of Joseph and Joann Taylor Ware of Camden, WV. He is survived by his fiancé Joyce Marie Bassford of Buckhannon; one daughter Zoey Marie Brafford; one stepdaughter Shannon Darlene Bassford; two stepsons: Shane Michael Bassford and Shaun Ryan Matthew Bassford; three brothers: Christopher Michael Brafford and Deena Cutright, Joseph Michael Ware, Jr., and Christopher Lee Ware; four sisters: Samantha Kay Dawn Pumphrey and Jonathan, his twin sister, Allison Nicole Brafford, Korena Sue McCartney and Isaac, and Angel Rose Highlander; maternal grandmother Susan Taylor; several nieces and nephews and Big Momma and Papaw, Diane and Dale Pumphrey. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Floyd Allan Taylor.

Brent was a truck driver for BSI Well Service. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.

Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 PM, the funeral hour with Rev. Wease Day officiating. Interment will follow in the French Creek Memorial Gardens. The family has expressed Brent's love of flannel shirts and requested friends to wear flannel shirts to the funeral in honor of Brent.
