Lindquist Mortuary - OgdenBrent Lewis passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, surrounded by his family and close friends
Brent lived a full and adventurous life — one filled with faith, family, and the great outdoors. Born in Logan, Utah, to Dean Theurer and Bonita (Hancey) Lewis, Brent grew up with a strong work ethic and a love for discovery that would follow him throughout his life.
After attending trade school, Brent earned certifications as a plumber, steamfitter, and welder, dedicating his career to a craft he was deeply proud of. As a long-standing member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, his 67 years of service reflected not only his skill but also his loyalty and commitment to his work and community.
Brent shared his life with his beloved wife, Tamara (Hunt) Lewis, building a home rooted in love, laughter, and togetherness. Throughout his years, he called several places home, including Logan, Willard, Brigham City, and Plain City, where he made countless memories with family and friends.
An explorer at heart, Brent found joy in fossil hunting, rock hounding, metal detecting, hunting, and fishing. Whether unearthing hidden treasures or casting a line on a quiet morning, he embraced life’s simple pleasures and carried an unshakable curiosity about the world around him.
Brent is survived by his children, Christine (Lewis) Thomas of West Haven, UT, Robert Dean Lewis of Plain City, UT, and Marti Lee Lewis, of Roy, UT. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Lewis of West Haven, UT; and his six grandchildren, Tambi Doucette, Timbery Caldwell, Harley Thomas, Dustin Lewis, Taylor Lewis, and Caleb Lewis; and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought endless pride and joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Tamara Lewis; his parents, Dean and Bonita Lewis; his brother, Jay Lewis; and his sister, Linda Bronson.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Plain City Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Pastor Joel Daily from New City Church. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
Brent will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend — a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and always sought out the wonders of God’s creation. His spirit lives on in the family he adored and the countless lives he touched.
