Bridget Skinner, age 51, transitioned on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in Morgan City, LA.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 507 Fourth Street Morgan City, LA. Pastor Ronald McCoy, Officiant. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Bridget Raquel Skinner was born on November 24, 1972 to Norma Jones Skinner and the late Royal Skinner of Morgan City. She was baptized at an early age by the late EW Rooks at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Morgan City, LA. She attended Holy Cross Elementary, Central Catholic High School Morgan City, LA and North Western University Natchitoches, LA.
She leaves to mourn her mother Norma Jones Skinner; three sons, Brennan and Bryson Skinner, Cedric Gant, all of Morgan City, LA; one sister, Stacy (Lionel) Granger; three brothers, Roy David (Theresa} Skinner, Devon and Kevon Marsh, a bonus brother, Darryl Trim; five uncles, Conley(Melba) Jones, Micheal Jones, Isiah (Gloria) Skinner James Skinner and Ezekiel Skinner; six aunts, Almetra J. Franklin, Ara (Claudell) Ramagos, Bessie Singleton, Catherine S. Kelly, Edna K. Jones and Brenda(Willie) Pitts; two devoted nieces, Davida and Renita Bias; a devoted friend, Tim Campbell; 17 grandchildren and Bella Furry, Baby Bridget; her everyday phone buddies, Mary Jones and Shawna Ruffin.
Bridget was preceded by her father, Royal Skinner; maternal grandparents, Freddie and Ara Jones; paternal grandparents, Edward and Orelia Skinner; four uncles, Micheal and Tony Skinner, David Franklin and Anthony Jones.
