Mickey Jude Comeaux, a beloved member of the Morgan City community, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 2, 1950, in Morgan City, Louisiana, Mickey dedicated his life to the craft of welding, where his skilled hands made a lasting mark on both his profession and those who had the privilege to know him.
Mickey was a passionate outdoorsman, finding joy in hunting and fishing, which reflected his deep appreciation for nature’s beauty and serenity. Mickey found great pleasure in riding his boat, creating lasting memories with friends, and enjoying the beauty of the waters he cherished. His adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were woven into the very fabric of his life.
He is survived by his two sons, Rickey Comeaux and Nickey Comeaux, as well as his loving sisters, Terry Moses, Cathy Carpenter, and Sheila Varr. He also leaves behind a cherished group of nephews and a niece—Marc, Tracey, Brad, Chad, Keith, and Lisa who will remember him fondly.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ethel Comeaux; one brother, LJ Comeaux; and one sister, Barbara Thrower
A memorial service in honor of Mickey Jude Comeaux will take place on November 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00pm. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate his life and share memories of the joy he brought to those around him. The service will be a time for reflection and remembrance, paying tribute to a man who embraced life with passion and integrity.
