Brittney Leigh Guidry was born July 25, 1980 with a rebel heart that she used to challenge the usual ways of the world.
Brittney was the first born child of Brenda and Billy Guidry of Cecilia, LA. She was a Tomboy like her mom which landed her the nickname "Mike." She would later have two brothers: Blaise and Benjamin, who she loved fiercely. Brittney was a graduate of Cecilia High School (1998) where she was often described as "the Best Friend" to have. She was known as "Tiny B" by her classmates and friends.
In 2006, Brittney was blessed with her son Cohen John Theriot who was the absolute love and joy of her life. Brittney was a loyal mother, sister, daughter and friend. She loved with all of her heart and her friends and family could count on her to always have their back. She brought this trait with her into her work as a successful saleswoman at Courtesy Chevrolet in Breaux Bridge where she grew quite the reputation and following by simply being herself. She loved her job, her coworkers and most importantly, her customers.
Brittney was unafraid to advocate for what she deemed as right.
In her free time Brittney enjoyed her alone time, her bubble baths, watching movies and of course spending time with her family and friends.
Brittney is survived by her son, Cohen John Theriot; brothers, Blaise (Rebekah) and Benjamin (Gracie); her father, Billy Guidry; and her nephew, Bennett Guidry. She is also survived by her grandmother, Linda Leblanc and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Brittney is preceded in death by her daughter, Angel Theriot; her mother, Brenda Begnaud Guidry; grandparents, Lester and Ida Guidry and Gary Begnaud; and step grandfather, Tommy LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Cohen Theriot, Blaise Guidry, Ben Guidry, Reagan Pierre, Carroll Huval, and Corey Angelle.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Billy Guidry and Bennett Guidry.
