Bruce Connor, a loving father and unforgettable friend, passed away at home on March 3rd, 2025.
Bruce was notoriously known by the name Critter. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on November 21, 1954. He was the son of the late Joseph A. Connor and Deloris F. Mullen. Critter resided in Chelmsford his entire life and was lovingly raised by his grandmother Irma S. Stanton and uncles Freddie, Gussie & Harry. He was a graduate of Chelmsford High School, class of 1972.
He was an adventure seeker through and through. From riding motorcycles cross country with friends, climbing the Mayan pyramids in Mexico, to white water rafting in Costa Rica and swimming at night with the Manta Rays in Hawaii. He was thrilled to make his dreams come true, traveling with Lore to experience Egypt, Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands.
As for friends, he cherished many and considered them his family. He loved to host extravagant bashes at his home, the Critter Ranch where everyone was always welcomed. He appreciated any opportunity to show off the abundant gardens he meticulously maintained and peacocks he cherished.
He leaves behind his loving children, Leah Mello of Nashua and Lore Meuse of Nashua. As a father he was immensely proud of his children. He carried with him memorabilia from their high school essays to photos of their recent adventures. He was truly proud of each of their lifetime accomplishments.
He was fortunate to have had many loves in his life, he leaves his girlfriend Annie Jones and his children's mothers – Layne Cargill and Linda Meuse. He is predeceased by his sister Erneen Hutchinson, and leaves behind her children and grandchildren Kim Beckwith, Taylor Beckwith, Joleen Rodecap and Emma Rodecap.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Kidney Foundation in his honor are welcomed and appreciated.
