Bruce A. Moody

Bruce A. Moody, 88, of Tolland, beloved husband of 62 years to Carol (Anderson) Moody, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was born on January 14, 1937, in Saranac Lake, NY, one of four children to the late Oscar and Helen (Frey) Moody.

Bruce graduated from school in Stamford, CT, joined the US Navy, and worked for several years in banking holding various positions. He enjoyed many activities including skiing, hiking, golfing, cycling, and travel. He enjoyed music and was a member of the chorus at the Tolland Senior Center.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Bruce Moody and his wife Vania Georgieva of Washington, DC, and Brian Moody and his wife Christine of Colchester; his two grandchildren, Zachary and Kaitlyn; his brother, Richard Moody of Purcellville, VA; his sister-in-law, Linda Clifford of East Haven; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and their families. Bruce was predeceased by his parents; his sisters and their husbands, Martha and Ted Kosinski, and Barbara and John Weaver; as well as his in-laws, Christina Hume and Thomas Clifford.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 10-11 a.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd. (Rt 83) in Vernon, with a funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, Tolland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Congregational Church of Tolland, P.O. Box 160, Tolland, CT 06084, the Tolland Fire Department- P.O.
