Bruce Karl Weinman, 93, of Fleetwood passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in his residence with family by his side.
He was the loving husband of Doris (Gardner) Weinman who passed away in February. Bruce was born June 16, 1931, in Muhlenberg Twp. to Lester F. and Irene (Gauker) Weinman.
Bruce was a 1950 graduate of Muhlenberg High School where he played basketball and was the center for the football team. After graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He attended the Wyomissing Polytech Institute and began his career working for American Chain and Cable Co. He went to night school at Bucknell University's School of Banking and completed many courses at Albright College through the American Institute of Banking. He retired from Meridian Bank as Vice President of the Automobile Dealer Finance Division.
He was a faithful member of Grace Alsace UCC in Reading for many years serving on the Consistory. He joined St. Paul's UCC in Fleetwood after Grace Alsace closed its doors. Bruce was President and long-time member of the Muhlenberg Rotary Club and served on the Camp Neidig Committee. As a savvy investor, he loved the stock market. He was a member and past president of Hobo Associates and the UFO Stock clubs. For many years, he enjoyed spending the summers on his boat with his family at Leisure Point in Delaware, fishing, crabbing and clamming. Bruce was also an avid bowler. He went all over the country with a traveling team bowling in many national tournaments. Bruce was predeceased by his wife Doris, his parents, and brothers Lester and Kenneth Weinman.
He is survived by their three children: Debra Kemmerer (wife of David) Fleetwood, Diane Pennington (wife of Jack) Muhlenberg Twp, and David Weinman (husband of Melony) Orwigsburg. He was a devoted and loving husband and father and fondly called Poppy Bruce by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

I graduated from Muhlenberg high school with Bruce in 1950 along with my husband Richard Geiss. We always saw Bruce and Doris at our class reunions. We also attended their wedding. Richard passed away in 2013 and I still live in Woodbury NJ. He was a very nice classmate and nice to talk to. My sympathy to the family. Shirley(Berger) Geiss
