Bryan Galyan, 65, of Bloomington passed away suddenly on the morning of August 15, 2025 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born July 2, 1960 to Homer and Barbara (Durnal) Galyan and was a 1979 graduate of Bloomington High School South. After graduation Bryan started his employment with INDOT, where he retired and after a short time of not being able to sit still long, joined Young Trucking and had remained part of their team through his last call out on Thursday August 14, 2025. There's two things that Bryan adored, his family, and the outdoors. He absolutely loved spending time with family. Nothing brought a smile to his face quicker than watching the kids play and laugh and it was obvious that they were a bright spot in his heart. Anyone who knew him knew he loved to hunt, fish, garden, mow, and ride his Harley. Recently, he could be found sitting on the porch or out in the garden. He would throw together a last minute cookout just to sit around talk and tell some big stories and spend time together. Bryan is survived by; mother, Barbara Galyan, brother, Bruce Galyan, son, Dustin Galyan and his grandson Ryot Pugh who was his Pride and Joy, (all of Bloomington). He had two nephews Josh(Rose) Galyan of Solsberry, Jody(Abby) Galyan of Chrisney, and Jill(Rob) Burkhart of Spencer, and several great nieces and nephews. Services arrangements Visitation will be held on Friday August 22,2025 at Allen Funeral home 4-8 with a Graveside service on Saturday August 23, 2025 at 11:30 at Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery 4000 W. Delap Rd Ellettsville, Indiana In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Ryot Pough, Bryan's Grandson, in care of Jill Burkhart; a trust will be established for him at a later date.
