Bryan "Sully" Sullivan, age 62, passed away on April 30, 2025, in Zumbro Falls, Minnesota.
Bryan was born on May 8, 1962, in Rochester, MN, to Mary (Beaudin) Sullivan and Robert Sullivan. He spent most of his life in the Rochester area, where he was known for his easygoing spirit, sense of humor, and ability to make friends wherever he went. Bryan was deeply authentic and lived his own way every day. A talented carpenter by trade, Bryan took pride in his craftsmanship, building homes and helping others with projects both big and small. Later in life, he looked after the campground in Zumbro Falls, where he found great joy in being close to nature and sharing stories around the fire with visitors. Bryan was a proud tribal member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe, based in Hayward, Wisconsin. He cherished his culture and traditions, often attending Powwows and family reunions that connected him with his roots. He was known for his creativity and loved making beaded necklaces, which he often gifted to friends and family. Bryan also loved watching Minnesota Twins and Vikings games-win or lose, he never missed a chance to root for his teams. A lover of the outdoors, Bryan found peace in the woods and waters of Minnesota and Wisconsin. He enjoyed foraging for mushrooms and deer antlers, hunting, fishing, and simply watching wildlife-activities that reflected his deep respect for the land and the quiet moments it offered.
He is survived by his sons Quinn "Jasha" Sullivan and Zane Sullivan; and his beloved grandchildren Zavier and Violet, who brought him great joy; brothers Daniel, Kevin, John, and Andrew; and his sister Renee.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Daryl, Jeffrey, Michael, Dave, and Denise.
A Memorial Service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward, WI, officiated by Gary Quaderer. A celebration of Bryan's life will follow on his birthday, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Sportsman's Park Camping in Zumbro Falls, MN. His memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
