Cameron Shay Gunter

Cameron "Cam" Shay Gunter sadly passed away unexpectedly on January 19th, 2023, at the age of 31. Cameron was born on December 1st, 1991 to Kevin and Tracy Gunter in Morton, PA. He spent 8 years in Brooklyn, NY, post graduation, and his last two years in Boston, MA. He is predeceased by both of his grandparents.
Cameron was incredibly loved by so many people from his family, friends, classmates, teammates, co-workers, to even people he met in passing. He had the biggest heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was also always open to sharing any wisdom he gained to help others excel. He frequently shared, "Always leave people feeling better than you found them." He lit up every room he walked into, and his beautiful smile and hearty laugh always drew you in. Cameron absolutely loved cars, photography, fashion, basketball, and music. If he wasn't talking about them, he was watching videos about them, or doing research on them. He was hilarious and always full of life and energy. He was especially never afraid to be his true self.
Cameron graduated from Ridley High school in 2010, then in 2014 he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelors degree in Communications and Commerce. He played for the men's basketball team at U.Penn, #21, as a center/forward. After graduating, he moved to NY and began working in Media, then transitioned to Marketing and Advertising. Eventually he landed at Anomaly, a Marketing and Advertising agency in NY. Cameron worked there for the last 3 years, and was recently promoted to Account Director.
He is survived by his beloved parents, Kevin and Tracy, brother Kalin, sister Whitley and the love of his life, Megan.
Friends and loved ones are invited to his service at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home. There will be a viewing from 9:30-12:00pm, service from 12:00-1:00pm, and a luncheon from 2:00pm-5:00pm at The Ridley House.
