Candace Doreen Krueger

Candace Doreen Krueger, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 59 after an illness. A longtime resident of Shelby Township, Candace was born on August 19, 1965, at Selfridge Air Base in Harrison Township, Michigan, to her parents, Michael and Daisy (née Groves) Olson.
She spent her early childhood in Saline, Michigan, before moving to Shelby Township, where she went through her schooling and graduated from Utica High School. Candace pursued higher education in Detroit, earning a bachelor's degree in accounting. She built a dedicated career as an accountant, working for various manufacturing plants throughout her life.
On May 1, 1999, Candace married her husband, Edward Albert Krueger III. Together, they shared 33 years together, navigating life's joys and challenges while raising their two children. Candace was a vibrant and active person who found joy in reading, gardening, crocheting, and traveling-especially to casinos. One of her favorite destinations was Las Vegas, a place she loved visiting with her husband. Candace also had a deep compassion for animals, often rescuing and caring for those in need. Above all, she cherished time with her family, and nothing brought her greater happiness than being a devoted grandmother to her granddaughter, Elaina.
Candace is survived by her loving husband, Edward Krueger III; her children, Eddie (Victoria) Krueger and Julia (Vinny Wurth IV) Krueger; and her cherished granddaughter, Elaina Krueger. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Brooks and Julia Hyer, who were like parents to her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 to 8 :00 PM at Gramer Funeral Home, Diener Chapel, 48271 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Township, Michigan, 48317.
