Carla Marjean Wisecup, 91, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Isreal Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. She was born on November 4, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Dayle and Alvena (Heldt) Crawford.

Carla attended school in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. On June 9, 1951, she married George Wisecup in Ogden, Iowa. To their marriage came three children, Pam, George, and Jeff. Carla worked as a secretary for the Department of Transportation for 26 years.

She was a longtime member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone. Carla loved to watch and feed birds and tend to her flower gardens. She also loved her dogs and taking in stray cats.

Carla is preceded in death by her parents, Dayle and Alvena Crawford; sister, Corrine Paulson; grandson, Michael Shad McIntyre; sister-in-law, Rovena Waechter; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Kemmerer.

She is survived by her husband, George Wisecup; daughter, Pam McIntyre; son, George (Margie) Wisecup; son, Jeff (Twyla) Wisecup; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone. Visitation with the family present to greet friends will take place before the service from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Boone County following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Foundation for the Boone Area Humane Society.
