Carmella Mersicano

Carmella (Ciampa) Mersicano, age 88, died on Thursday evening at Advocate Healthcare in East Boston. She was the wife of the late Frank Mersicano.
Born in Winthrop and raised in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Lukosi) Ciampa. A resident of Saugus for many years, she worked as a as a bank teller for many years and then as cashier at the Hilltop Restaurant. Mrs. Mersicano was a devoted homemaker, family being the most important part of her life.
She is survived by three children; John Mersicano of Saugus, Maria Turchi and her husband Dana of Bradford and Michele Mersicano of Saugus, three grandchildren; Leah, Olivia and Lukas. She was the sister of Joseph Ciampa and his wife Claire of Milton.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening of visitation at the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Tuesday 4-7 p.m. A funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church, 431 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
