Carol "Carrie" Simek

Carol “Carrie” Lynn Simek of Mchenry, Illinois, born May 30, 1959, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025.

For 41 years, Carrie dedicated herself to her work as a Fleet Coordinator at Allstate Insurance, retiring in 2022.

Carrie found happiness in weekly bingo, trips to the casino, her cherished angel collection, and the warmth of family and friend gatherings. She loved to sew, to cook, and to share both her time and her heart.

Carrie is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Robert (Joy) Simek, Richard (Antoinette) Simek, and Nancy (Terry) Wojcik. She also leaves behind 8 nieces and nephews, and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews, who will all miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Simek, and her sister, Patricia (Ronald) Manno.

Carrie's memory will be held close by all those who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Mass will be on Thursday, October 2, at 10am at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 Bull Valley Rd., Mchenry, with a visitation to begin at 9am. Burial will follow at The Church of Holy Apostles Cemetery.
