Carol Jean Zuccaro, age 83, from Zionsville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2025.
Carol was born on January 8, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio to Earl and Marjorie Bodine (Raby). She graduated from Roosevelt High School and later attended Kettering College. She worked as a hematology lab technician for over 40 years at Grandview/Kettering and Wayne Hospitals in Dayton and Greenville, Ohio.
Carol is survived by her husband of 59 years, Christopher Zuccaro; daughter, Jennifer Zuccaro-Dolack (Robert); granddaughters, Zoe and Joy; siblings, Richard (Barb) Bodine, James (Peggy) Bodine, Martha Clark, Linda Levitan-Quigley (Michael), along with many nieces and nephews and their children. She is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Bodine and her brother-in-law, Rick Clark. Of note, were her close relationships with her niece, Stephanie Bodine, and nephew, James Bodine Junior.
Carol cherished spending time with her husband, friends, and family, and found deep fulfillment in her involvement with various church groups through the years. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, shaping the generous, loving, and kind spirit that touched everyone around her. She was always eager to help others and offered unwavering support to those she loved. Above all, she shared a profound love with her devoted husband, and together they created a life that has become nothing short of a love story for the ages.
A meticulous and sharp-minded woman, Carol had an exceptional memory for numbers. These talents served her well during her life's work in hematology laboratories, where she paved the way for future generations of women in science.
A Rite of Christian Burial Mass for Carol will be held on Thursday, May 8th at 3:00 pm at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church in Zionsville, Indiana, with the rosary at 1:30, promplty followed by visitation until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in the St. Kateri Preserve on Friday, May 9th, with a graveside prayer service.
