Carole Y. Randolph, 77, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Carole was born on December 23, 1946 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Ed and Pauline (Young) Patterson. She was raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School.
Carole married Gabriel “Gabe” L. Randolph on May 22, 1965 in Monmouth, IL; he preceded her in death on November 25, 2021.
Carole worked at Harding Elementary School in Monmouth for over 20 years until her retirement. She enjoyed watching Soap Operas, Hallmark Movies, playing and watching softball, watching football, cooking, music, styling hair, and attending her grandchildren’s many activities; she was their biggest fan. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family. Carole was a member at St. James AME Church in Monmouth. Carole never knew a stranger, and everyone was always greeted with “Hey Baby!”
Survivors include her children, Garrick (Jackie) Randolph of Monmouth, IL and Isis Randolph-McCree of Seattle, WA; five grandchildren, Garren (Natalie) Randolph, Kaeleigh (Max) Randolph-Navas, Kyrrah Randolph, Aeysha Randolph-McCree, Jeylavin McCree; one great grandson, Julian Navas; a niece/daughter, Kelia Patterson; her brother, Harry (Mollie) Patterson of Atlanta, GA; her sister, Sharon Patterson of Monmouth; and numerous nieces and nephews, honorary grandchildren and honorary great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one grandson, Garrian Randolph; five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be at Noon, Saturday, October 12, 2024 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-Noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Monmouth Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Carole Randolph Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, is in charge of the arrangements.
