Carole Ring Heise Wingerter, age 82, of Fairview, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at St. Vincent Health Center.
She was born in Erie, PA on December 6, 1942, a daughter of the late Margaret Jepson Ring and Robert Ring.
Carole graduated from McDowell High School in 1960. She worked as an office manager at Donn Advertising (Zurn Industries, Inc) and retired in 1998. She was formerly employed by Loblaws, Eckerds, Hagan Business Machine and had worked in the office at her church. She was a member of Holy Cross Church since 1986, serving as a Eucharist Minister. Carole was also a member of the Erie Cursillo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her loving husband of 34 years, Thomas Wingerter; brother, Michael Ring, and former husband Daniel Heise Sr.
Carole is survived by a son, Daniel Heise (Cheryl) of Grand Rapids, MI; a daughter, Deborah Heise Speice (Michael) of Erie; three stepsons, Michael Wingerter of Erie, Brian Wingerter (Wendy) of Warren, PA and Christopher Wingerter (Shannon) of Fairview; two stepdaughters, Cynthia Englert (John) of Waterford and Deborah Anderson (Ronald) of Hermitage, PA.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Trisha Buettner, Amy Kalinowski (Geoff), Jessica Heise, Chelsea Heise, Justin Carte (Amanda), Ashley Rinehart, Jaime Anderson (Shauna), Nicole Ehrman (Nathan), John Englert III, Danielle Wingerter (fiancé Jake), Schasta and Sierra Craig, Cpl. Autumn Wingerter-Heihn (Sgt. Sebastian), AM Abigail Wingerter US Navy, Dr. Eric Anderson (Kelly) and Marc Anderson (Susan). Carole is further survived by great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Alexander and Kaitlyn Torres, Emmy Carte, James and Kaitlyn Anderson, Benjamin and Adrianna Ehrman, Emma Anderson, Finley and Nora Carte, Anya and Ethan Anderson; a sister Susan Ring Pire (Richard); two brothers, Robert Ring (Susan) and Charles Ring (Mary); an aunt, Patricia Eicher and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. Girard on Monday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and are invited to a funeral mass at Holy Cross Church in Fairview on Tuesday at 10:00am followed by entombment in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
