Carolyn Joyce Anderson Johnson was born in Austin, Texas on April 14, 1939, and went to meet her Lord & Savior on November 23, 2022, at the age of 83.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Clayton Johnson. She is survived by her 4 children, Truman Clayton Johnson, Tracy Renee Johnson, Terrell Kevin Johnson and Tricia Christine Johnson as well as 1 brother, 2 sisters, 2 brothers-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, 2 daughters-in-law, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Carolyn was the first of five children born to Oscar and Nina Anderson and raised on their farm in Hutto, Texas. She attended Hutto High School where she was the student council vice president, F.H.A. parliamentarian, Hippo staff typist, and a member of the pep squad. She was voted class favorite in 1956 and she played basketball all 4 years where today, she still holds records. After graduation, she married the love of her life on June 15th, 1957. Her faith remained important to her, and she was always active with church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.
She and Clayton attended church services and other social club events regularly, and she never missed a family event or special occasion. Even throughout her illness, she would still tap her feet in time to her favorite polka music. She was loved by many and will be missed very much.
The family would like to thank Heavenly Care Home Health and Choice Hospice for their service.
