Carolyn was a Baptist and a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce Scott of Dawn, MO, Gary Scott of Marceline, MO, three brothers, Wilbur Payne of Osceola, MO, Donald Payne of Laclede, MO, and Vernon Payne of Bucklin, MO, three sisters, Marilyn Camlen of Brookfield, MO, Wanda Dodge of Laclede, MO, and Wilma Grett of Marceline, MO, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, George Wendell Payne and Gerald Payne, and sister Freda Hulett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with visitation starting at 10 AM. Burial will be in the Locke Cemetery south of Marceline. Memorials may be made to Marceline Nutrition Center and mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
