We remember the life of Casimere J. Miles Ill who passed away peacefully September 26, 2025, surrounded with both love and family at his residence in New Orleans, LA. Casimere was born on October 22, 1961, in New Orleans to Rosetta Pinkney-Miles and Casimere J. Miles Junior. He graduated from McDonogh #35 in 1980 and was a member of the band. He was a master construction worker and owner of Built to Last Builders, LLC.
Casimere is survived by his wife. Teisha Mercadel-Miles, his sons, Casimere J. Miles IV (Tykeria), Phil Varnado Jr., Payton Taylor-Miles, Terrance Collins, Navara Decou and Clyde his daughters Ebony Mercadel and Nia Decou and his grandchildren. Casimere I. Miles, V. Cortney Miles, Triniti Miles, Sereniti Miles and Nyla Hall: his Mother-in-Law Selika Mercadel. Father-in-Law Alphonso Yates (Valerie): his sister-in-law Christina Mercadel-Santemore (Koby), nephew Kyron Carter and his Godchild. Ingrid Foy.
Casimere was preceded in death by his daughter. Lashonta Miles. Casimere was known for his love-language, cooking, and sharing his meals with his family and friends. He was a car and music enthusiast, and his smile would light up any room. Cas was always willing to help others and had a wide circle of friends.
