Catherine "Cathy" J. Kaster, 67, of Marinette passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area. She was born on November 8, 1957, to Robert and Martha (Brauer) Rouse in Marinette and graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1976. Cathy worked for Emerson Electric for 23 years and Thai Cuisine for 20 years, always serving with her beautiful smile. On September 18, 1999, Cathy married Michael Kaster at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was a member of St. Marys Parish. Cathy loved to entertain family and friends. She enjoyed golfing, fishing, flower gardening, and the Green Bay Packers; and especially enjoyed making boards for Packer games and NCAA March Madness.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael Kaster; son, Tyler (Lee Ann) Nocerini; step children, Aeron (Angela) Kaster and Angela (John) Kaster; two grandchildren, Madison and Corbyn; two great grandchildren, Syilas and Zerani; father, Robert (LaVerne) Rouse; brothers: James (RaeAnn) Rouse, Francis Rouse, and Scott (Tracie) Rouse; step brothers and sisters; and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha.
Visitation will be held at St. Marys Church in Peshtigo on Thursday, January 16th from 9-Noon. A Funeral Mass will be held at Noon with Fr. Ed Siguenza officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
The family extends special thanks to Cathy's lifelong friend, Nancy Chaney.
