Cathleen Mancino Burns

Cathleen Mancino Burns, of Chatham, passed away at her home after a courageous 10-year battle with dementia and Parkinsons Disease. She was 76.
Born in Jersy City to the late Margaret and Frederick Sigmund, Cathy worked for the Hudson County Prosecutors Office for many years, working her way up to the position of Executive Secretary to the Chief of Detectives.
Cathy was the first female coach of a Little League Baseball team from Pershing Field in Jersey City.
She was predeceased by her first husband Joseph. She was the beloved wife of Edward Burns; the loving mother of Joseph Mancino (Pam) and Marty Mancino (Dawn) and devoted grandmother of Ryan, Gwen, Bryce, Riley and A.J. Ramos. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Kathleen Burns Adam (Ray) and stepson Sean Burns.
Family and friends are invited to her visitation at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street in Chatham on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated the following morning at St. Patrick's Church, corner of Chatham Street and Washington Avenue in Chatham beginning at 10:30 a.m. Her interment will follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery in Summit. The family requests a dress code of casual attire for the visitation and to please wear something green to celebrate Cathy's Irish heritage.
